At this year’s IN Cure of MS Golden Gala, we were proud to present the 2025 Jeff Zaniker Nautilus Award to an extraordinary individual: Sylvia Kemp.
Sylvia’s journey with multiple sclerosis began more than 25 years ago when, at just 20 years old, she experienced her first MS flare. Since then, she has faced every challenge with fierce determination, deep compassion, and an unwavering commitment to making life better for others living with MS.
Sylvia is more than a warrior—she is a true champion. Her tireless advocacy, leadership, and passion for finding a cure have made her one of the top fundraisers for MS research in Indianapolis. Whether she’s rallying a team, organizing events, or sharing her story to raise awareness, Sylvia’s impact is profound and lasting.
The Jeff Zaniker Nautilus Award recognizes individuals who embody strength, resilience, and a forward-moving spirit—much like the nautilus shell itself. Sylvia exemplifies these qualities in every way, and we are honored to celebrate her legacy of courage and generosity.
Sylvia, thank you for all you do for our MS community. You inspire us all to keep moving forward—until MS ends.
